PARENTS/GUARDIANS
PARENTS/GUARDIANS
1. Parents are expected to co-operate with school authorities and play their part by enforcing punctuality, discipline and study habits in their children. Children should be encouraged to take part in games, yoga, cultural activities, guiding which are necessary for their all round development.
2. Parents must occasionally meet the Principal and the teachers concerned to discuss the progress of their wards.
3. Parents are requested not to enter the classroom. All dealings must be conducted through the principal. Private servants will not be permitted to remain in the school premises during class hours.
4. Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities in all matters concerning formation and education of their child. Parents are to look into the school diary everyday and see to it that lessons and homework assigned for the next day are done. Remarks made in the diary by the principle or the teachers should be seen and countersigned.
5. Criticism of child's teacher or the school in the presence of the child should be avoided as it is likely to affect their good name.
6. If the parents have any grievance against any of the teachers, they are advised to meet the Principal and settle the matter amicably.
7. We do not recommend that parents engage private tutors unnecessarily. We discourage tuition since they may prove harmful to the real progress of the pupil.
8. Please urge your wards to be regular and punctual in attendance and insist on neatness and cleanliness of their text books, exercise books and personal appearance.
9. Transfer certificates must be produced by the candidate who seeks admission to higher classes.
10. No pupil suffering from any form of communicable disease should be sent to school. A medical fitness certificate is required for rejoining school after recovering from such diseases.
11. Please do attend the Parent-Teacher meeting regularly. You will be able to meet teachers during those days and discuss your child’s progress with them.
12. New entrants to the school as well as absentees need to catch up on whatever they have missed, and complete their work on their own. Parents are requested to help their children in this regard.
13. Please visit the teacher by prior appointment only. You can send a note in the diary which year child must show to the concerned person for appointment.
14. Parents are not allowed to meet their children during school hours without the prior permission of the Principal.
15. Please remember that a disciplined child at home will be a disciplined child at school. Take interest in their tests, assignments and their daily work and also in their extracurricular activities.
16. Please do not harass your children, abuse or punish them when they fall short of your expectations in academic performance. Try to encourage and instill confidence in them. Please try to examine if YOU are in any way responsible for the backwardness of your child.
17. Kindly avoid criticizing the teachers in the presence of your child.
18. Please do not believe everything your children tell you about the teachers or the school. Children are very imaginative and sometimes they fabricate stories to escape punishment.
